Coco’s Pool
Pool Closed Until Spring 2025
The pool is will open to the public in Spring 2025. Everyone is welcome to join us. We have ramps and ladders available, so you can swim with your pups or let them enjoy the water on their own. Our facility is ADA accessible to ensure everyone can participate.
Below are buttons for weekends with available pool slots! Before you register, you MUST READ the rules and waiver below. You will also be required to complete this on-site upon entering the pool area.
Rules
- Swim at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty.
- After parking, use the fenced gate directly in front of the pool (wooden pirate ship). Volunteer will be waiting for you. All new participants will receive a short orientation from volunteer.
- You must read and sign Coco’s waiver prior to entering the pool area. (See the bottom of the page.) Volunteer will witness.
- All children under the age of 12 must have their parents’ consent/waiver (below) signed, must be accompanied by an adult on the dock, and must wear a lifejacket (not provided).
- All children under the age of 18 must have their parents’ consent/waiver (below) signed and must be accompanied by an adult.
- Always be respectful of your scheduled time by remaining in the yard outside the pool area until previous appointment has completely exited the area.
- While on the premises, all dogs MUST remain leashed unless on dock or in pool and you MUST maintain a 6’ distance between your dogs and all other dogs not in your group.
- Do not feed your dogs at least three (3) hours prior to their pool time.
- Only four (4) dogs maximum allowed in pool area.
- Only one (1) dog dock diving at a time.
- Absolutely NO use of Flexi-leads or retractable leashes allowed on premises.
- Prong collars/E-collars/Harnesses must be removed before entering the pool.
- Only DOGS are permitted in the pool unless same day authorization is given to each person by volunteer.
- NO pushing or shoving dogs into the pool.
- Human aggressive dogs may be declined service unless you are a self serve, experienced dock practice client and will be evaluated case by case by Suzanne Aaron. They will be required to be muzzled when off the dock and on the grounds and be always under your complete control.
- Take dogs on mid-swim potty breaks in the yard outside the pool area to prevent accidents. Once again, you are responsible for your dogs’ waste; promptly pick up after your dogs and use the refuse bins provided. While on potty break, maintain a 6’ distance between your dogs all other dogs not in your group. Close gate behind you and NEVER prop the gate open.
- You are responsible for your dogs’ waste; promptly pick up after your dogs and use the refuse bins provided. You MUST notify staff if your dog urinates, defecates, or vomits on the dock or in the pool so we may sanitize properly. Failure to notify will result in denial to rent or use pool area.
- Notify staff of any equipment damage or problems. Fines may be implemented for cleaning $50 dock accident or $200 pool accident.
- All dogs MUST be current on Rabies shot!
- Female dogs in heat are NOT allowed. Appointment MUST be rescheduled.
- Make sure your dogs are clean and that their nails are short and rounded.
- If your dogs are shedding, please brush thoroughly before swimming.
- Bring everything you will need for your dogs: towels, floating treats, water toys, water bowl, water, and a life jacket (not provided). Dogs that are experienced swimmers or dock-divers may not have to wear a vest if you allow and provide us with a written release (below).
- Bring everything you will need for yourself and be prepared to get wet if you are actively involved in your dogs’ session. Wear non-slip dock, water or tennis shoes. FOR YOUR SAFETY, Flip-Flops are NOT allowed on dock.
- Your dogs will not be allowed to swim if they (1) are not weight-bearing (2) are limping (3) have had orthopedic surgery (4) have sustained injury within 9 months of session unless you provide a veterinary letter stating your dogs can resume regular low impact activity.
- Your dogs will not be allowed to swim if they (1) have been vomiting (2) have diarrhea (3) have a skin condition (4) have had recent surgery (5) have an open wound.
- Turn on misters when you arrive. Make sure to turn off when you leave. This will help to keep the hot surface cool.
- Nothing made of glass past the entrance gate.
- NO gum, food, or smoking (of any kind) in pool area. There are approved smoking areas on the property. NO alcohol or drugs permitted on premises.
- Inclement weather cancellations will be posted on Facebook. Cancellations during sessions are at volunteer’s discretion. Sessions cancelled will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
- Must leave in a timely manner at your scheduled end time. Remembering to collect your belongings and trash before you leave. We don’t maintain a lost and found.
A Reminder: Dogs must be under your control and on leash while off the dock. (NO retractable leashes permitted). Dogs and minors must ALWAYS be supervised by their guardians!
Waiver of Liability and Release
I understand that I am solely responsible for the accuracy of the information contained in my agreement to the pool rules and verifying the information contained in my registration. I do hereby release Coco’s Cupboard Inc. (hereinafter “Coco’s”) from any responsibility for verifying the information contained therein, and from any liability whatever that might arise out of a failure to do so. I as the legal guardian (hereinafter “my dog(s)”) hereby agree to the terms and conditions of my dog’s or dogs’ participation in activities at Coco’s.
** NOTE: Users of this facility do so at their own risk. Owners/Guardians are responsible for the actions of themselves, their minor child(ren), and their dog(s). Coco’s shall not be liable for any injury or damage caused at the facility.
In consideration for allowing me and my dog(s) to participate in swimming and/or dock diving, I, for myself, my heirs, administrators, next of kin, executors, assigns and anyone acting on my behalf, do hereby release and hold harmless, covenant not to sue and to fully indemnify and forever discharge Coco’s, its elected officials, officers, employees, agents, volunteers and contractors or other personnel in any way assisting or connected with Coco’s with respect to any and all injury, illness, disease, disability, death, or loss or damage to myself, minor child(ren), my dog(s). or property, as well as any claims, demands, or causes of action of any kind arising out of my participation in the sessions at Coco’s, I further agree and confirm that Coco’s shall have not assumed and shall not be deemed to be responsible for any further liabilities, responsibilities, or obligations to me in any manner whatsoever in consequence of permitting the use of Coco’s facility hereunder.
TEMPERAMENT AND BEHAVIOR: I understand and agree that If my dog(s) shows/show aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person that I may be asked to leave Coco’s without a refund. I hold Coco’s harmless for harm to any person, other dog(s) or property by my dog(s). I hereby certify that my dog(s) is/are of sound mental health and reasonable disposition. I agree to abide by the judgment and expertise of Coco’s volunteer with respect to handling any potential temperament concerns. I understand that Coco’s reserves the right to refuse services or admittance to my dog(s) for any reason. If my dog(s) is/are found to exhibit any behavior that is deemed unsuitable by volunteers of Coco’s, my dog(s), I will remove my dog(s) from the facility without refund.
CONSENT TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED: I give permission to Coco’s and/or parties designated by Coco’s to photograph/video me, my dog(s), my minor child(ren), or any of my permitted invitees, guests or affiliated participants and to use such photograph(s)/video(s), in all forms of media, for any and all promotional purposes including advertising, display, audiovisual, exhibition or editorial use.
DAMAGE OR LOSS: I am fully responsible for all damages and/or losses that may be incurred from participation of myself/minor child(ren)/my dog(s) at Coco’s.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I hereby willingly and knowingly assume any and all risks associated with my participation in swimming/dock diving, whether now known or unknown, including, but not limited to, risk of or associated with injury or damage to myself, minor child(ren), any other human being, my dog(s) or any other dog(s), however sustained and whether or not related to illness, falls, contact with my dog(s) or other dogs, the effects of the weather, including extreme temperature or humidity, the condition of any area or part of facility, including sidewalks and parking lots I fully assume all of the risks just stated.
I have read, understood, and agreed to all provisions of this agreement. I understand that allowing my dog(s) to participate in activities at Coco’s is not without risk to my dog(s), and I accept and agree to be fully responsible for the consequences of assuming such risks. I hereby release Coco’s and its volunteers, agents, officers, members, and guests from any liability for injuries, illness or damage results from the actions of my dog(s), any other dog, or any human in and around the facility starting with the date indicated below and thereafter.
I agree to abide by the Coco’s Cupboard Inc. facility Pool Rules above, all laws and regulations, city by-laws, policies and instructions given in connection with Coco’s and the use of the facility.
I hereby acknowledge that I have personally completed the Registration above, paid the session fee online, and hereby agree to the Waiver of Liability & Release.
